BTB Mailflight's subscription management solution was a natural development from the data management, mailing, and response fulfilment services we had provided to publishers for many years.

We develop sophisticated subscription management systems, these contain
all subscriber details and order information. They become the driver of the
marketing activity, and the source of the mailing data used by our fulfilment
department, whether it’s a magazine mailing, subscription renewals letters, or
a direct mail campaign that is being fulfilled.
Our subscription management and data processing departments work hand
in hand with
our mailing fulfilment department which makes planning and
controlling mailing schedules seamless.
We appreciate that this is not a one-system-fits-all business and our
programmers tailor
the system to meet the unique requirements of each
publisher, which includes taking into
account all reporting needs.
Our response centre is 20 seats (with room for expansion), this should give

Circulation management
We were finalists in the "Mailing House of the Year" category at the PPA's Magazine Production Awards, which helps illustrate our expertise in the fulfilment and mailing of journals and magazines.
We have five Sitma polywrapping lines, and these have been developed specifically for the publishing sector. For example we are one of the few mailing houses to have covermounting/tip-on capabilities and selective insertion (intelligent insertion) stations on our polywrap lines, and we can insert up to 10 items into polythene. We also have
a team of handworkers for jobs that can not be run on the machines.
With online inkjet addressing on our polywrapping lines as well as laser printing capabilities we offer versatility and a range of pricing options for magazine mailings. Many
of our publishing clients work with us primarily because of our international postal solution. We can provide discounts for journal and magazine mailings, without
compromising delivery performance.
BTB Mailflight's high standing within the mailing industry is also proven by the fact that our Managing Director has been elected as Chairman of the Mail Consolidators Association (MCA).

Magazine Subscription Management
BTB Mailflight manage the circulation and subscription management of two magazines for BHF.
Heart Health magazine with a circulation of 30,000 magazines is published quarterly, and Saving Lives magazine is mailed to 8000 subscribers.
British Heart Foundation were keen to increase their subscriber numbers and improve how subscribers were managed, our solution includes:
- Developing, hosting and managing their database.
- Development of an online order form maintaining BHF branding.
- Receiving enquiries & orders via telephone, fax, email, website and post.
- Back issue fulfilment - Management of subscription renewals campaigns i.e. lettters, outbound calling etc.

Polywrapping and mailing of individual magazines for general public subscribers and collating of multiple copies for courier distribution to healthcare professionals.
Direct Mail Production
Provide the complete solution: print management, laser printing, finishing & envelope enclosing.
In 2006 Northern and Shell (N&S) decided to outsource the subscription management and mailing fulfilment of 3 major consumer titles: OK!, New and Star.
Subscriptions Management
BTB Mailflight has created a bespoke subscription management database for all three titles with a full reporting suite for subscription data, data profiling and financial management. We host this database and have worked with N&S to update and optimise current subscriber data.
BTB Mailflight provide a dedicated order processing and customer service team via our in-house call handling centre and provide mail order and on-line payment processing for subscription and back issue orders, and full banking services for mail order payments. As well as phone calls and postal responses we also process web orders for new subscriptions and back issue orders received direct from each title's branded website.
Outsourcing has enabled N&S to concentrate in-house circulation resource on strategic issues and planning and we are working in partnership to grow subscription volumes and optimise renewals for all titles via on-going promotional marketing.
Magazine Mailing Fulfilment
We provide UK and international mailing services for all three N&S titles. They have used our publishing expertise to re-design the packaging, and presentation of the weekly and monthly mailings which has achieved significant savings via faster and more cost effective mailing routes. These savings add up to tens of thousands of pounds per annum.
